TDE Validates Carbon Capture Feasibility in Just One Week with a Detailed 3D Model

Industry: Oil & Gas / Carbon Capture
Location: Alberta, Canada
Project Duration: 1 Week
Software: CADWorx Plant

The Situation: Fast-Tracking a Feasibility Study with Zero Room for Delay

The client was evaluating the feasibility of a carbon capture plant and needed a clear 3D model to support decision-making.

The timeline? One week.
The challenge? No in-house team available for 3D modeling.

The client knew that visualizing spatial layout was essential to move forward but needed a partner they could trust to deliver fast, accurately, and with minimal supervision.

The Goal: Deliver a 3D Model with Equipment and Piping Layouts + BOM

Using P&IDs, equipment sketches, and datasheets, the client needed:

  • A 3D plant model.
  • A bill of materials (BOM).
  • Separate drawing packages by discipline.

Success depended on speed and precision, the model needed to be reliable enough to inform real investment decisions.

The Partnership with Prozus

Having worked with Prozus on previous drafting projects, the client turned to us once againthis time, with a higher-stakes challenge. Despite being new to piping design, our team took initiative to learn quickly, adapt, and deliver.

The Result: A Model That Moved the Project Forward

  • Delivered a comprehensive 3D model, Navisworks file, BOM, and discipline-specific DWGs.
  • Enabled he client to validate the layout, identify risks, and advance feasibility planning.
  • The client expressed high satisfaction with the quality, responsiveness, and collaboration.
