The Situation: Update of Solar Panel and Frame

The client had previously designed a specific folding solar panel unit that sits on a frame but needed editing due to site condition changes. They came to Prozus to get a re-design of the unit completed, the structural calculations re-worked & a P.Eng. stamp to
prove the integrity of the design.

The Goal: Deliver Accurate, Editable, and Fully Compliant 3D Models and Detailed Manufacturing Drawings

The client aimed to:

• Have accurate 3D models in Autodesk Inventor Pro that allowed future editing

• Hade detailed fabrication-ready drawings to support the redesign

• Have the drawings P.Eng. stamped for regulatory compliance and to prove the design integrity

The Approach: Quality-Driven Modeling from the Ground Up

• Receive the original Inventor Pro models and drawings from the client
• Receive the redline markups showing the design changes required
• Make the required 3D model change including the material attribution for each changed part
• Reconstruct the assembly adding all the parts in the correct place
• Perform the structural calculations required
• Produce the fabrication-ready manufacturing drawings.
• Obtain the P.Eng. certified stamp for each drawing
